Wait until next year

Putting off what could be done tomorrow, today

New adventures

Tomorrow is the final day in my current job. Luckily a new, and hopefully more exciting and challenging, job awaits, after a nice few days off, of course. It’s always a little unnerving leaving the safety and comfort of a familiar job and surroundings, but I do think it is probably good for me to challenge myself once in a while, and take a few risks. Currently my commitments are few, with no kids and no mortgage, so if I can’t experiment now, when can I? Read the rest of this entry »

Baseball’s Opening Day (with bonus MLB predictions)

Food and drink at the baseballTonight, the 2010 baseball season begins, with the returning World Series champions facing their perennial rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Mersey Odyssey (A weekend in Liverpool – Part One)

Things to do in Liverpool when you’re Red

For my thirtieth birthday I got quite possibly the best present ever from my ever-wonderful Significant Other. In the near future we’re heading up to Liverpool for a couple of days, including a pilgrimage to Anfield. I can’t wait.

But here is where you, dear reader, can help. While I’ve been up before, I’m no expert on what to do in Liverpool. Have you been, and what would you recommend? I’d love to hear about your experiences, what you enjoyed and what you’d avoid.

Or if you haven’t been, watch this space for a full report when I return.

In the meantime, I’ll actually think about contributing some more actual content here, particularly after some incredibly kind words from Steven.
