The song doesn’t actually mention Christmas, but the title does, albeit within parentheses, and I don’t think I really need an excuse to post a Harry Nilsson song anyway. This is a time of year where we often find ourselves looking back in some way or other, so I think this is a pretty apt festive song.

While I’m not quite ready for sleigh-bells, I am ready for Christmas songs. I love them far more than is strictly necessary. This is one of those rare examples of a Christmas song that would work just as well if it wasn’t about Christmas.
