I was out on Friday with some friends, some reasonably new acquaintances. Towards the end of the evening I ordered a bottle of Brewdog’s Punk IPA. Hardly the most exotic beer in the world, but I’d had enough generic lager / bog-standard bitter for one night.

I haven’t spent enough time with the new Tweedy album yet, but on first listen it is excellent – just the right balance between the approachable and comforting melodies Jeff Tweedy writes so well and the more challenging and restless rhythms he came up with and played with his son, Spencer. This video is great – directed by the equally brilliant Nick Offerman.
