Pleasant Valley Monday (well, apart from the result, anyway)

We went along to the League One play-off semi-final between Charlton Athletic and Swindon Town on Monday. We’ve been popping down to see Charlton more and more, as our most local side, and generally it’s been worth it, particularly this season. It’s a pretty good, family orientated atmosphere, the football is of an OK standard and we can be home, or more likely in our local pub, in no time at all after the game. 1988 and all that

Tomorrow’s FA Cup Final is being touted by many as a David and Goliath affair, with Premier League champions Chelsea facing the bottom side, Portsmouth. Liverpool’s season: A post-mortem

Premier League trophyI was just listening to some of tonight’s Manchester City/Tottenham Hotspur game, where both sides are fighting for the fourth spot in the Premier League and the place in next season’s Champions League that comes with it. As a Liverpool supporter facing a Champions League-free 2010/11 season, I began to think that should be us.
