Wait until next year

Found this while wasting some time on YouTube. I know next to nothing about it, but if you’re in the mood for some suitably icy early 80s leftfield electronic stuff, and let’s face it, who isn’t, then I think this might fit the bill. 

Algorithms are both our enemy and our friend. On the one hand, they show up just how much information about us and our tastes are out there, and at a slightly less scary level then lead us down particular cul-de-sacs of recommendation that are very hard to break out from. On the other hand, sometimes they do spring up something unusual, unrecognised and kind of wonderful, like this track.
