My Uneducated, Ill-informed 2011 MLB Predictions

Baseball’s Opening Day is tomorrow, and so I thought that I would publicly record my predictions for the season that lies ahead. Some of my comments have already appeared in the MLB Predictions post over at BaseballGB, where I’m entering my second year as an uneducated, ill-informed columnist. However, I thought I’d also throw up my full, unedited set of predictions and comments for posterity, if only to show in October how awful I am at predicting anything (as my bookmaker will attest). The ‘Wait Until Next Year’ World Cup Preview and Betting Hell Special (Part Two)

Well, the previewing and punting extravaganza continues! Today I’m taking a look at how I think World Cup Groups E to H might pan out. As before, the odds might not be entirely accurate and the predictions almost certainly won’t be! Still, as we get closer and closer to the greatest sporting tournament on Earth (so great, even FIFA can’t ruin it), I think it is well worth a look at the fun that awaits us. Tonight, the 2010 baseball season begins, with the returning World Series champions facing their perennial rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Much like a new year, a new season offers all sort of promise, expectation and uncertainty. Will it be a good one or a disappointing one?
