I’ve immuned myself to Christmas so much that I end up only feeling vaguely Christmassy by Boxing Day…about a day too late.

Last year I had Christmas songs playing from early December which certainly helped. I’ve got a flurry of parties to go to this year, which will help too, potentially. I’m just determined not to get jaded.

Oh yes, and actually remember what it is all really about.

Every Christmas I pretty much fail. It’s the incessant commerciality of it all that drags me down in the end. If only it were about a lovely chap having been born in a stable and wishing the world to be nicer…
